Today, the popularity of bingo has sparked a desire in other people to learn the game. We will discuss the game for beginners to understand, and quickly learn to play and enjoy it just like the rest of us.

The goal of the game is for players to complete the pattern that’s pre-determined in the beginning of each game. The pattern can differ from horizontal, vertical or diagonal, an X pattern, a box or even what they call a blackout where all the numbers in the card should be filled out.

A bingo card is what a player should have to play the game. They can be bought in bingo halls, and a player can have as many as he wants in the game given that he can handle it.

The appearance of the card is a plain cardboard that has the letters B-I-N-G-O across the top, indicating five columns. Each column has a set of numbers ranging from 1 to 75. The numbers are divided in sets of 15 numbers where a column bears 5 random numbers coming from each set. The first set begins with B of 1-15 while the letter I has 16 – 30 and so on until it reaches the last column of O having 60 – 75.

The third row, under the column N—indicating the middle grid of the card—is a blank cell of a free cell which is no longer necessary to mark.

A bingo card is necessary to play bingo. You can have more than one at a time which, like we’ve said before, depends on your labeling skills or how many you can handle. The host is also the caller who draws the numbers from a cage, and announces the pattern first. The game begins when the first number is called out.

Once hearing the number, players would look at their cards to see if any of the numbers in their cards matches it.

The caller will continue to call out numbers until someone shouts “bingo!” This means they have completed an indicated pattern. The host would verify if the card is accurate then the prize will be given, and another round of bingo will begin.
